Barr W Stables offers both English and Western riding lessons as well as those focused on natural horsemanship and groundwork. More specific western programs are also available such as Barrel Racing/Pole Bending lessons, Western Show Equitation, etc. Beginner to intermediate levels are offered.
Creating an individualized lesson program for each rider's needs is our goal. For this reason we only offer private lessons and after a student's initial evaluation a goal will be set and the instructor personalizes a lesson strategy for each rider. This is not your typical "chin up-heels down" lesson program, our goal is to build confidence in our riders and make learning fun and goals reachable!
NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP LESSONS...
Natural horsemanship is the building block for any good horse/rider relationship. These lessons are covered mostly by groundwork with a horse and some under saddle exercises. These skills will benefit both English and Western riders by building a relationship with your horse based on trust and respect. These lessons can be taught with one of our horses or with your own.

One-hour private lesson - $40
Thirty-minute private lesson - $25
***NOTE: Lessons can be given on your own horse or one of our lesson horses. If you choose to bring your own horse to our facility, you are responsible for transportation and your horse must have been kept UTD on all shots and have proof of a current negative Coggins Test before being brought onto the premises.
Barr W Stables will bring our knowledge to you! If you have a horse at home or at another stable and would like lessons on it or would like to learn more about natural horsemanship in your environment we will come to you. All we ask is that you have the proper riding area and equipment (such as a round pen or arena). Fees vary depending on distance and individual needs. Contact us for more information!
